Should schools be reopened?
Even if
today the world has started running again, we must walk. If we walk today, we
will be able to run tomorrow.
After a
prolonged lockdown, and a mighty situation that still continues, it is very
important to unleash children and their minds. During this situation, children
have lost connectivity of internet as well as with the society. Besides, online
teaching is even not affordable to all children and so they have lacked
education for one entire year. Also, it is required for children to return to
the normal school environment because physical distance has affected a large
number of people’s and very likely alongside, children’s psychologies.
All these factors state that there is a quite urgent need for schools to be opened, but there are also desperate disadvantages on the other side of the equation that are equally needed to be considered.
Running
in the process of reopening schools is scientifically risky because detection
of Covid-19 infection has been proven quite unreliable. People who experience
symptoms are not the only prey of this pandemic, but even asymptomatic patients
and beyond, only infection carriers can also be quite under risk and risky as
well. In this huge risky domain of Covid-19, offline teaching can bring at
least one infected student in a school almost anyhow.
Except for the fact that people belonging to low economy class cannot afford online teaching, I would suggest offline teaching to still be in a pause and resume online education for a while of two to three months before which the vaccine is expected.
Because one student can destroy many lives, but many lives stood safe at home may be able to save at least one life.

Excellent, quiet matured thinking.
